Proximity
The most important rule when seeking some adventure is to go far away from where you live and work. Photography
There are PLENTY of apps out there like TinEye that make it easy to find your photo on the internet, wherever it is. Don’t ever use photos that have been posted anywhere previously. It’s fairly easy to use a public photo to scan and track EVERYWHERE you have existed online. Take new photos and don’t expose your face in any way. Avoid photos that include nudity with your face. If you must re-use a photo, crop it and color it, making it harder for scanners to match it.

Email Addresses
Email addresses are a dime a dozen. Get an email address that is not linked to you in any way. Gmail and Hotmail are great sources for disposable addresses. If you don’t need to receive email for more than a few hours, I love Guerrilla Mail. It does a great job of leaving no trace behind.
Passwords
Don’t re-use passwords or use simple passwords. Last Pass is an excellent system for protecting your information. It also allows you to use two-factor authentication with Google Authenticator to add an extra security layer to your information. Use the Last Pass password generator to create extremely long, complex passwords!
Cleanup and Inoculate
When you’re done having your adventure, clean up. Change ALL photos to pictures of carpets, walls, random animals, just nothing related to you. Re-write your bio, change your age, location and anything else even remotely sketchy. Most sites don’t back up changes, but do keep archives of information that has been deleted. This protects you if there is an information breach that resurrects a profile that you’ve abandoned or deleted.
